Photos from our weekend trip. I didn’t take any of these. They’re photos I was tagged in. Saw some beautiful sites, including the sexy waiter whose hands shook when he served us Friday night. We ran into him Saturday at a pub.
Chasing waterfalls in County Kerry.
Singing with the Irish
We went out in Dingle tonight, a small town on the western-most peninsula of Ireland. The Irish boys here knew a bunch of American songs including Smash Mouth’s “All Star.” We sang the entire song together (among others) then went to another pub together.
It was a good night. Tomorrow, we head home to Dublin but not before shopping for a bit and exploring the town. More photos and video soon.
A trip
Heading to County Kerry at 6 a.m. Friday (in about five hours our time). Can’t wait to see all that GREEN everyone is talking about. Expect lots of photos and video of the rural country side after our three-day trip.
Our group saw another play tonight and on the walk back from the pubs, I snagged meself a souvenir: An empty Guinness glass with the logo off the sidewalk! I want to thank the drunkard who smuggled it and forgot.
We just finished our second week of classes and next will be the third and final week of our first workshop. We switch to another professor for the second three weeks. Time is flying, and there’s still so much to see.

These performers draw crowds on Grafton Street daily. I finally filmed a few of them yesterday.
A short video from Howth, a fishing town and suburb of Dublin. We visited for a few hours on Saturday, and I shot this video with my digital camera. It was a beautiful place, easy to get to, and the train was cheap.
A second video from Bloomsday. I just shot a few random things and pieced them together. Didn’t upload this one to YouTube though because our connection is slow. Enjoy.
A short (crappy) video I made from a walking tour of the city our first weekend here. Brought the wrong camera cord from home so I haven’t been able to use any photos I’ve uploaded. And I haven’t gotten any good audio of the live music going on around the city. You’ll see a woman playing a harp who I shot for about a minute, but all you can hear on the clip is people talking and walking around Grafton Street! Gah! So I’ll figure all that out for the next video. (Music is “Achaidh Cheide” by Kevin MacLeod from http://incompetech.com. Creative Commons License.)
